The Polygon game offers both solo and multiplayer modes, allowing players to enhance their visual perception skills through engaging puzzles. In multiplayer mode, two participants can collaborate or compete by solving the same puzzle simultaneously on their devices in real time.

Designed primarily for use with two thumbs when holding a smartphone with both hands, Polygon also accommodates one-handed play using two fingers. The game is optimized for iPhones, ensuring smooth performance on these devices, though it remains compatible with iPads.

Gameplay awards points for correctly placing puzzle pieces, with additional mechanics introducing some strategic elements. Players can drag pieces using one or two fingers; using two fingers enables rotation of the piece without needing to touch the screen directly on the piece itself—any part of the screen may be used to drag or rotate.

Placing a piece accurately awards base points, but skillful throwing of pieces to their correct positions yields higher scores. If a player can bounce a piece off the sides before placement, extra points are awarded. The points gained from throws depend on how far the piece is from its target position when the player lifts their finger off the screen.

Navigation between different puzzle pieces can be performed via arrow buttons located at the bottom of the screen, though this incurs a slight penalty, encouraging players to consider their choices carefully.
